Lately I meet with New Look to have a gander at their new AW13 collection called ‘Downton‘. The collection is inspired by the 1920’s and a tip of the hat to the heritage and style from of Downton Abbey.
This includes great use of Herringbone, tartans and houndstooth whilst details such as suede elbow patches, bow ties, flat caps, and pocket squares finish off the look.
With the collection the New Look tailoring range has certainly stepped up a notch. Taking on such a quality era like the 1920’s was always going to be a tough one, but with the strong use of accessories the brand has come out on top.
Whilst out with the New Look team, they also showed me another one of their new collection ‘Hot Rod’. Although this article doesn’t featured pieces from the collection the girls at the brand were sketching amazing tattoos. So I was persuaded to have my very own temp tattoo featuring my very own bug design from my bug jewellery. Check it out below, along with some key pieces from Downton.
