We take you back to 1985, in the beautiful Buenos Aries, Argentina, where the name La Martina first echoed through the city walls. A passion for supporting the spirit of polo, which formed a unique lifestyle collection. La Martina doesn’t use the polo game to promote is brand, La Martina is polo.
We’ve spent quite some time with La Martina, soaking in the love for the sport and the way in which this is engraved in the brands styling and quality.
To further salute their ongoing partnership with one of the most sociable events in Polo, La Martina have designed a limited-edition collection with three capsule designs for each moment of the event itself.
There was a stronger presence of La Martina at the Polo in the park, as it celebrated the return of Team India to the historic Hurlingham Park along with the his highness Maharaja Padmanabh Singh, another ambassador
The founder of La Martina; Land Simonetti says “We are delighted to share our brand new ‘see now buy now’ capsule collection that has been designed for the growing young, cool and dynamic audience that is becoming more involved in the sport of Polo. With events such as the Chestertons Polo in the Park we see a promising future for the sport and this capsule collection outlines the new path of La Martina in terms of design, distribution and target.”
And now to the collection itself….. Here are some of the pieces we’ve seen, that were at the Chestertons polo in the park pop-up.
The team polo shirts made their debut appearance at the Chesterton’s Polo in the Park, with dri-fit technology woven into its fabric. The polo shirts come in the competing teams; Dubai, India, Zurich, Cape Town, London and Port Louis.
We’ve seen the La Martina kit in action, being the first on the field, boasting technical boundaries in polo-wear. Breathable fabric in a sportswear fit, for maximising player movement.
The new La Martina collection is also available to purchase in the La Martina’s London stores and online (including my St James seersucker blazer).
