Gift cards are a great way to make sure you get someone something that they really want, as usually you know what sort of shop they are likely to spend it in. Or a bit of a lazy cop out because you couldn’t think of something or didn’t have time? Whatever side you come down on let’s face it, gift cards are pretty great for giving and receiving.
That’s where Zeek comes in, where you can not only buy gift cards from a wide variety of shops, for less than the actual value, but also sell any gift cards you have. I thought this was a pretty good idea although it does cost you £3 or 7% of what the cards value is, but could still come in handy.
The cards from Zeek are less than the value of the card, e.g. gift card value £50 you pay £45, while not a huge saving, being from Scotland and living in Aberdeen I always appreciate this! After buying a gift card you can access it via your wallet via the app or website, and can be redeemed online and in many cases in-store as well. There is also the option to get them send you to you.
Zeek let me try out the website and I found it really straightforward and easy to use. I got a Debenhams card acquired myself a new jumper and some socks, because you can never go wrong with that! Also as its coming up to a certain card holiday I treated my other half to a dress I remembered her trying on and really liking, but not having the right size. See I’m nice like I’m nice like that ;o)
Anyway if you’re in the market for a gift card or looking to save some money on a purchase it is certainly worth checking out.
