My Tuesday evening took me into central London, with Blancpain at their New Bond Street store. They invited me in to experience a world of luxury timepieces, Cigars and fine Scotch whisky.
Blancpain are luxury Swiss makers founded in 1735, by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain. With Blancpain you will find the finest, most complicated Swiss watches ever crafted, with each watch being made by a single watchmaker.
Blancpain showed us the art or crafting their watches from scratch, breaking down every tiny component used to control every mechanism.
Through the evening there was a breakdown watch range, with a tutorial given by one of their watch connoisseurs. Each and every time piece made has a significant feature added, that distinguishes them from each other and appeals to the watch lover.
My favourite piece of the night was the Fifty Fathoms collections BATHYSCAPHE calibre 1315, with its Satin-brushed black ceramic case and 30 bar water resistance.
Later in the evening we were welcomed by whiskey by Mortlach and Habana cigars.
Mortlach for those that don’t know was founded in 1823 in Moray, Scotland. This is one of my favourite single malt scotch whiskies, so it was a joy to be reunited again.
You can find different types of Mortlach whisky to enjoy, such as the rare old, the 18-year old and the 25-year old. All Mortlach blends are aged for the perfect taste, for all whisky connoisseurs out there to enjoy.
