The little Scottish town of Fochabers is the proud origin of super brand Baxters Soup. Started by George Baxter 1868 the brand started as a small shop with George doing deliveries on his push bike. How times have changed with the brand going from strength to strength and products now being available all over the world. One of my favourite things about the visitors centre is that the original George Baxter and Co shop is still standing with its original products inside.
Next to the olde shop is the new shop selling everything from oatcakes, to sweets and of course the famous soup.
Wondering around the place and looking at so much food is bound to make you hungry. So you can also visit the cafe where all the Baxters products are put to use with a number of fresh ingredients. The cakes are lovely, the soup very tasty (of course) but the best part is actually the massive pancakes you can order fresh at the counter. Spread with Baxters Jam it is delicous! So next time you are travelling around Scotland make sure and stop by Baxters Highland Village.
