If you know me, then you will know I have a love for silver rings. With only a few fingers spare these days to fit some new jewellery on my hands its very important to find the right one. Over the past few months I had decided I wanted a signet ring thus the treasure hunt began.
I found it surprising, but to find a simple yet cool looking signet ring was actually pretty hard. I knew I wanted a black onyx on the top, and didn’t think I was asking too much but clearly I was. However, my search ended when I came across Tom Wood. He is a jewellery designer based in Norway creating striking but simply pieces for men or women. Being based in Norway meant it was difficult for me to try his rings on, luckily a new store in Shoreditch, London has just started selling them. The Goodhood store, from what I can find, is the first UK shop to offer Tom’s jewellery for sale, so I made my way down and tried on the plain silver and black onyx rings.
At first I thought I wanted the square black onyx but to balance out my other round (Turkish inspired) central ring the rounder version was my favourite. Decision made, I now have to save up some pennies as Goodhood is currently retailing it for almost £300. As I save, do you have any signet ring jewellery designers that you’d recommend?
