As followers and friends of this blog now, I am obsessed with men’s jewellery. I wear a number of rings on both my hands, but since Christmas I have been on the hunt for a new pinkie ring. At first I was after a classic signet ring, but of course classic isnt really in my vocab. So the hunt began…
I started with Crazy Pig Jewellery in the heart of London, near Covent Garden. There I found three different options with the large black onyx signet standing out as my favourite. However, it still wasnt right. So I went on to the celeb god of British Jewellery Stephen Webster. Knowing Stephen’s jewellery well, and having been at a number of launches I was willing to invest in my new ring. Unfortunately for Stephen and myself his website is under reconstruction and his store didnt have any of the old stock (that I wanted), so the search continued.
Next up was the well known gothic ring king The Great Frog. Situated just off Carnaby Street in London, The Great Frog is well known for its large selection of skull rings. I was open to getting my first skull ring, and had checked out the Frog’s website and narrowed to the 3 above. However, on trying them all on it still wasnt what I was looking for. Here we go again! So where do I turn to next? High Street luxury brand Thomas Sabo perhaps or fashion week main stay Duffy Jewellery but what about Cardinal of London or Composition Japan? The choice is endless to be honest, and knowing all the jewellery brands that I do it was starting to cause me a headache.
Then I turned around a corner and stumbled across Joy Everley Jewellery. This jeweller stocks many different designs, and I was taken by the Stag Beetle silver ring. In fact so taken that I bought it, and it now sits alongside my Bjorg spine ring. So thats the left hand updated, now what about the right hand…………
