Cake with a view? You got it!
Situated in my motherland of Scotland, and in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains, The Potting Shed has been voted one of Britain’s best cake shop. The cake shop is actually within the grounds of a nursery which produces a variety of plants for customers to buy, but it is the cake that most interested me.
Whilst the tea and huge slices of cake are incredible, and all served on quaint bone china plates you really can not beat the view. Looking on to the backdrop of the Scottish Highlands forests you can sit back and enjoy your treats whilst watching the wildlife enjoy theirs. Whilst there we witnessed a number of different wild birds, and a RED squirrel. The Potting Shed has seen everything from badgers to pine martins and more. So if you happen to find yourself in the Highlands, make this a must for a visit.
