Whilst on the hunt for an inspiring and colourful umbrella to brighten the gloomy winter mornings we are currently having, I was introduced to London Underground.
Established in 2008, designer Jamie Milestone set out to elevate this classic British accessory from the boring, disposable, last-minute market item back to its rightful place as a staple fashion accessory.
From classic city gent umbrella’s to the more adventurous English breakfast inspired brollies,
London Underground really does cater for every dapper gent looking to keep himself dry. I particularly love the use of plain black outside but crazy large format print inside to add intrigue and wonder to this everyday accessory.
The brand also has a very sustainable head on its shoulders. Many of its umbrellas are made using recycled materials including recycled canvas fabric, recycled metal shafts & frames, recycled and biodegradeable handles and recycled packaging and tags.
So there you have it, you can add a little something special to your outfit with an umbrella. Just imagine the look in someone’s eyes when you walk past, brolly up, and they catch a glimpse of what’s underneath. Jamie you are a legend!
